Fran — Japanese Cosplayer, Performer & Global Liaison

Hello, I’m Fran, a cosplayer from Japan.

Since creating my first costume — Angel from Tekken 2 — in 1997, cosplay has been my lifelong passion. Over the years, I’ve hand-crafted more than 250 costumes, focusing on heavy, elegant designs inspired not only by anime and manga but also by historical fashion and traditional craftsmanship.

I began performing in 2012, and in 2013 represented Japan at the World Cosplay Summit (WCS). Since then, I’ve continued to combine artistry, international exchange, and community support in the global cosplay scene.

In 2023, I became the WCS Japan Organizer, connecting cosplayers worldwide and supporting international communication and regulation development.

Outside cosplay, I’m also passionate about:
–   Playing the biwa (Japanese lute)
–   Stage combat (sword & whip)
–   Cycling
–   Manga drawing

The name of this website — Flying Cosplayer — reflects my life spent between Japan, the USA, and Spain, and my career that keeps me traveling around the world as an international trade consultant and CEO of Farul Inc. (established in 2021).

  • Organizer, Poland-Themed Cosplay Contest, in “Digital Dreamers: Games from Poland”, Expo 2025 Osaka – Led public promotion and participant coordination in Japan, managed bilingual stage hosting and judging, and directed press and on-site operations.
