Hello everyone!!

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve just taken up my position as the WCS Organizer of Japan starting from the World Cosplay Summit 2023.

The direct reason why I ran for the Organizer is that I felt the importance of the international exchange opportunities.

There were many difficult things in the world last year but people from different country/region can collaborate to achieve one mutual goal in the WCS through cosplay.

As this aspect would not have been well known among Japanese people yet, I would like to communicate about this point taking the occasion of being the Organizer.

Apart from organizing the preliminary to select Japanese representatives, my main goal is to raise the visibility of the WCS Championship in Japan and to increase the number of people who would like to attend the WCS Championship.

Specifically, I would like to introduce the appeal of the WCS to Japanese people especially cosplayers who have never seen the WCS Championship and to increase the number of participants in the WCS preliminary.

The advantages of me taking this task is that I’m an alumni of the WCS2013 and still a cosplayer so it could be easy to understand what participants for the WCS selections are thinking

Since it has been difficult to feel the atmosphere of the WCS Championship under pandemic situation, I would like to communicate Japanese cosplayers in an easy-to-understand manner how the WCS Championship is and how they can participate as country representative.

Although I have been enjoying my cosplayer life for more than 25 years, to be an organizer for the WCS is a new challenge for me.

Frankly speaking, there is neither sponsor nor regular staff for Japanese preliminary at this moment and I need to start this project alone from a scratch.
